Special Yoga Classes Through The Scope Southend Active Communities Programme
Special yoga is a type of yoga that concentrates on the sensory, subtle aspects of ourselves. It aims to calm down and sooth our nervous system, by focusing our attention onto flowing movements and traditional yoga poses.
As we gently stretch out our bodies and focus our minds, peaceful, grounded feelings arise. After a special yoga class, you may begin to develop a more relaxed and positive outlook on life, feeling calmer and more connected to the world around you.
Special yoga is aimed for people with additional needs and can include their carers. It is also for disabled people, making this class an inclusive, happy experience.
The Special Yoga classes will be held weekly between 2 venues. The classes will also be available on Zoom, which will be streamed live. It will also be available as a video, accessible via an online library of yoga classes. The live venues and dates are:
