Parklives Southend is back! Free fun outdoor fitness for families and young people!

ParkLives Southend is back for 2018!

Southend children, young people and families can look forward to a summer of free weekly outdoor activities again, for the third year running, as part of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s popular ParkLives Southend programme.

Led by the Council’s Sport and Leisure Team, experienced instructors from community sport and physical activity organisations will deliver more than 30 free activities across Shoebury and Chalkwell parks from the end of July, through the Summer and into September.

These free, fun, and informal activities will include Scooter sessions, Street Basketball, Parkour (Freerunning), Dodgeball, Rounders, and Bootcamp.

The 12-week programme starts on Tuesday 17th July in Shoebury Park, with Dodgeball and Rounders. Families and young people from across the town are invited to come along with their friends, join in the fun and sign up for vibrant and varied sporting activities over the Summer, which are totally free and right on their doorstep.

Please ensure when attending a session that you bring a bottle of water and where needed, you wear sunscreen and suitable clothing to stay as cool as possible.

Please click on the related downloads section at the bottom of this page and then on to ParkLives Timetable for this year.

Advance booking is advised to secure a place on any of the sessions, or you can take your chance and show up and play on the day.

To book your space, or for more information, please contact Kirsty Horseman, Sport and Leisure Team at Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, on 01702 212057 or email
