Parkrun is a 5km run, walk or jog every Saturday morning at Gunners Park. Go at your own pace.  Its free and for enjoyment.



Southend Health Walks

The Southend Health Walk Scheme is part of a nationwide network of schemes, helping people lead a more active lifestyle. Our group walks are short, over easy terrain, with trained volunteers on hand to provide support.

ACE Lifestyle

ACE Lifestyle Southend is a service for residents of Southend who wish to make positive changes to their lifestyle to improve their health and wellbeing.

The service includes a personalised programme to help people reach their health goals. This could include 1-to-1 support or referral to other programmes such as weight management, physical activity or stop smoking.

Individuals can refer themselves, or healthcare professionals such as GP’s and pharmacists can refer patients.



MoreLife provides programmes, services and resources to help children and families learn how to improve their health, fitness and the way they feel about their bodies. 

The course is 2 hours once a week for 10 weeks covering different health topics and physical activity.  Find out more by visiting the MoreLife website or contact your local service on 01702 212838.
